Course Memo

This course examines the history and philosophy of evaluation, and techniques in evaluation in psychotherapy. Students explore basic concepts of mental health evaluation, including statistical concepts underlying the process of evaluation, process and outcome evaluation, social and cultural factors related to the assessment of individuals across the lifespan. Students learn strategies for selecting, administering, and interpreting assessment instruments in counseling with specific populations. Students learn to consider social and cultural factors in mental health evaluation processes. (4/14)
